Course Design –   ★★★½

I might be biased because I play here a lot while visiting family in Clearwater but I do love this course. I use this executive course as a warm-up every time before I hit a larger course. It is a very easy walk and you can usually play a very fast round. I have walked the course in under 2 hours before and it is great. This is one of the best executive courses I have played.

Par 3s: You get your fair share of Par 3s on this course. They have nine of them. The easiest of the Par 3s is hole #15 at 97 yards and the hardest of the par 3s is hole #16 playing at 217 yards from the tips. You get plenty of variety in yardages and that is a great test of your iron play.

Par-4s: Par 4’s is where I dock some points for design. They are great holes with some great greenside bonkers. It just lacks some variety. That is expected being on such a small course. Holes #13 and #14 are right alongside a very busy road on the left side of the fairway and it can get sketchy.

My favorite Par-4 is hole #18, it is pretty open and most golfers will attempt to drive the green sitting at 260.

Par-5s: There are no Par-5s at The Landings Golf Club.

Course Difficulty –   ★

The Landings Golf Club is a very easy executive course that plays from the tips at 4,400 yards.  The greens do run quicker and match the speed of other very nice public courses. You should have short second shots on all the par-4s which makes it pretty easy to tuck your chips in close and have a roll for birdie.

Course Amenities –   ★★★

The course offers a lot, for such a small course. The people also make it a very enjoyable experience.  They just recently remolded The Hanger their new snack bar and bar.

The driving range is very nice and enjoyable. The pricing for a basket of balls is also very cheap compared to other driving ranges in the area. They also have a great short game area that sits right in the back of the clubhouse.

Course Conditions- ★★★

The course conditions are very good for a small executive course. The greens run pure. They do get beat up later in the day, but the grounds crew does a great job fixing green ball marks.

The tee boxes do run a little longer than most and that will translate into the fairway as well. The grass is still good and the ball sits very well, they just can be a little hairy at times.

The bunker is very good as well. They have higher lips and great sand in them. Makes being in the sand a little more enjoyable.
