What is The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am?

The Pebble Beach Pro-Am stands as a prestigious annual fixture on the PGA Tour, hosted in the breathtaking environs of Pebble Beach, California. This event uniquely pairs professional golfers with celebrity amateurs, fostering a dynamic team format. This years format has changed since last years, so the pro-am portion of the event will only be Thursday-Friday and not into the weekend.


This year marks the first year that the Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a signature event on the PGA Tour. Here is what you need to know! Signature events are a limited field event with no cut’s. There is also an increased purse and an 700 FedEx points. This year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has a $20 Million purse, up from last year’s $9 Million.



The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Format

Each professional will play with one amateur player for the first two days. These player pairings compete in a better ball format. Playing one round on each of the courses.


AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Courses

Since this years AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a signature event it is a limited field size, they have dropped Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore Course from the rotation. They will also be moving to Pebble Beach Golf Links after the cut, so the weekend rounds will all be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links.


Pebble Beach Golf Links: Hosting its sixth U.S. Open in 2019, Pebble Beach Golf Links is renowned, having hosted more U.S. Opens in the last 50 years than any other course. Playing as a par 73 at 6,828 yards, it provides breathtaking views and challenges for golfers of all skill levels.


Spyglass Hill Golf Course: Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Spyglass Hill Golf Course is situated between Pebble Beach and Cypress Point. With sweeping ocean views, it plays shorter than most PGA Tour courses at 6,858 yards, offering a unique and picturesque challenge.




AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Field - 2024

Around 70-80 players are anticipated to participate in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Eligibility criteria encompass the top 50 in the preceding season's FedExCup standings, the top 10 from the current standings (The Next 10), and the top five FedExCup points earners from the preceding swings leading up to each Signature Event (The Swing 5).
